How to use this site
Welcome to the BMENA Ethics training site.
The site is designed for ease of navigation. The following sections provide a brief explanation of the site’s content and how to navigate through it.
Access to the training materials
Under the heading of “Course Modules and Evaluations,” you will find the complete list of all subject matters for which the site provides training.
The training material is divided into two groups:
1. A group of modules that all participants must complete, and successfully pass the post-quiz, if they wish to obtain a certificate of completion.
2. A second group of modules that we encourage all individuals to complete. However, you do not have to take training in subject matters that do not apply to you. For example, if your work does not involve any ionizing radiation, then you do not have to take the Radiation Safety
To take the training for a given subject matter, simply click on the link, which will take you to the training resources for each module.
Each training module consists of:
Pre-Quiz:
Please complete the pre-quiz before reviewing the materials provided. This will help you compare your post-quiz score after you have taken the course and show your progress. These pre-quizzes also help us to determine the effectiveness of the material and how to improve the courses.
The pre-quiz does not have a pass-fail requirement. You will be given your score and the answers to any questions you answered incorrectly.
Presentations
In the Presentation section, you will find a PowerPoint presentation about the subject matter. To navigate through the PowerPoint, simply use the button at the bottom of the PowerPoint page.
You can also move to the next slide by clicking on the PowerPoint slide itself.
Narratives
Under the narrative section of each module, you will find a PDF containing a detailed narrative of the PowerPoint presentations. These narratives are designed to provide the participants with additional information on the subject matter. You should use them as supplementary information for the slide presentations.
Reference Materials
Each module also includes additional reference materials for further reading in the topic. The materials include regulatory references, international guidance documents, best practices documents, and links to other informational materials if you are interested in obtaining a more in-depth understanding of the subject matter.
Post-Quiz
Once you have completed the course (e.g. have reviewed the slide presentation and read the narrative), please complete the post-quiz for the subject matter. After you complete the quiz, your answers will be graded and a score will be provided, as well as the answers to any questions you may have answered incorrectly.
You need a score of 80% to pass the test. If you do not receive this score, you can take the post-quiz again. You can use the same link to take the post-quiz multiple times. There is no limit on how many times you can take the test, but we do recommend that you review the course before taking the test again, as the questions are randomly generated for each quiz.
The ‘Certificate of Completion’ will only be issued to individuals who have successfully completed all the quizzes for relevant courses.
Course Evaluation Survey
Under the heading of “Course Modules and Evaluations,” you will find a link to the Course Evaluation Form. Once you have completed all relevant modules, please take a few moments to complete the survey. Your responses are confidential and will help us in improving the program.
Enjoy the site and the courses and please contact us with any questions.
